Usually the printing material used in the printing of corrugated boxes is called "base paper", and base paper is a type of material with high burst strength, high pressure resistance and folding resistance. In the production of various base paper materials, wood or grass fibers are used in traditional craftsmanship, while today's craftsmanship is made from commercial wood pulp and waste paper. According to the different uses, there are many different classifications of base paper:

1. Corrugated base paper. According to national standards, it can be divided into four grades: A, B, C, and D. Today, D-grade corrugated base paper has been basically eliminated.

Second, the box board. There are four main types: kraft cardboard, imitation kraft cardboard, white cardboard and recycled paper. The characteristics of these four kinds of paper are as follows:

(1) Kraft cardboard

Features: long fiber, heavy sizing, high physical strength, rough cardboard; pure wood pulp or a small amount of OCC. Abbreviation: imported cattle card.

(2) Imitation kraft cardboard.

Features: 15-25% wood pulp is hung on the surface, and its fiber is shorter and its strength is worse than that of kraft cardboard. The paper surface is flat, with different degrees of sizing and surface dyeing.

(3) White cardboard.

Features: White-faced ox card bottom, bleached wood pulp on the surface, and the rest are natural or dyed wood pulp. Whiteboard paper (surface bleached wood pulp, the rest are deinking or non-deinking waste paper); coated whiteboard paper (white on white, white on grey).

(4) Recycled paper.

Features: Different from corrugated paper, the surface is 11# or more AOCC veneer and has been dyed.
